FIELD GUIDE TRAINING
Field guide Training, In 2008 Kwalata initiated a project to train people from our community as field guides. These guides to be registered with Field guides association of South Africa (FGASA) and DEAT. The need for guides in the Dinokeng Big5 Game reserve a project with great possibilities. Vergenoeg Mining Company made this financially possible and the firs 6 guides wrote their first exam. We are currently looking at the next project training the next intake of students.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION & FUN DAY
Kwalata has been involving the Pretoria zoo’s mobile zoo at youth events in our community. During these events children has a first time experience to get close to wild animals.
 Pressure on Africa’s natural resources is mounting due to urbanization and poverty. Environmental education is much needed and brings about a better understanding for Africa’s nature.

Kwalata actively supports and assists day Pre schools / care centres in the Mandela Village and Steve Bikoville / Kekana Gardens. We host the annual Safari in the Sun event at Kwalata providing a first time nature and bush experience to township kids. Close to 2000 kids attend this fun filled environmental awareness day!

DAY CAR CENTRE STAFF TRAINING
Kwalata supports the “To Care” N.G.O. assisting day care centres in Mandela Village Steve Bikoville and the border Hammanskraal region.

We facilitate all efforts between community, government and the private sector to guarantee outcomes and results. We thank our corporate clients for their support in our communities. Through this we aim to create a winning concept in South Africa that can be duplicated all over Southern Africa, focusing on sustainability through tourism!
