During October 2010 Ellisras Primary school had a concert and the theme was “ Lap pop op die ashoop”. All guests that attended this concert had to bring a doll. Kwalata was contacted by the school and ask if we can arrange a day, were the main characters in the play can come and perform, and then distribute the collected dolls to the children.

GRANT THORNTON
Kwalata would like to thanks the Grant Thornton team for the construction of two 6x6m roofs, at the Bangiswane and Kesentswe Day Care Centre’s.
Construction of the roofs was completed in December 2009 and handed over by Grant Thornton.
Bangiswane and Kesentswe Day Care Centres both consisted only of 2 small buildings of about 20m² which had to accommodate 30 and 50 children respectively. The two 36m² shade roof at both Day care centres was a welcome relief, since there is little or no other shade available.
During December 2009 school holiday both Daycare centres converted their open roof as classrooms. This contribution stimulated the growth and development of these two Daycare Centres.
Thanks again for your great support in developing our community!
We are very excited having entrepreneurship and initiative from Daycare Centres for converting their open roofs into proper classrooms.
Thank you Etienne from Security Accessories, ets@webmail.co.za
for constructing the roofs at cost price!
